In the Book of Revelation (4:3), God's throne is described as appearing like jasper and encircled by a rainbow resembling an emerald.
"And he who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald."
Other translations render it similarly, for example (King James Version):
"And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald."
The emerald's green color symbolizes eternal life, divine truth, renewal, and the unending cycle of creation.

The throne itself is the seat of ultimate authority, cosmic order, and the source of all being.
