Now you know WHY we say "NICE GUYS FINISH LAST", the "NICE" people are the EASIEST to FOOL, TO DECEIVE, TO TRICK, (hence the phrases like "nice and easy" ) even into doing "not so nice things," like carrying out immoral orders, or simply doing harm without even realeyesing it and even with good intentions, such as the big, strong, nice and sweet Lennie Small from the story "of Mice and Men," who loved soft, animals so much that he would hug them and squeeze them to DEATH! Simpletons, homely, naive.
And unfortunately, this is also how the wise, yet manipulative, take advantage of "nice (nescient) people, by playing to their good loving nature in order to dupe, con and scam them."
