US: the last place on earth to ditch deadly dystopian vax mandate
The United States is one of the last countries in the world to drop its requirement that international visitors have the Covid shots, but it's finally happening.
On May 11, this pointless rule will expire (as will the rule applying to federal employees and contractors).
The Biden Administration is of course claiming that its "vaccination campaign" saved "millions of lives." There is not one stitch of proof for that statement. (Models extrapolating from bad data are not proof that "millions of lives" were saved.)
But even they can't pretend that this international rule did the U.S. any good. They don't even bother trying to claim that the shots halt the transmission of Covid, which was their earlier rationale. The best they can come up with is, "Our COVID-19 vaccine requirements bolstered vaccination across the nation."
How did keeping unjabbed people from entering the U.S. protect anybody? The official statement doesn't even try to argue that it did.
Meanwhile, we've discovered that Pfizer funded groups that pushed for vaccine mandates.
Writes journalist Lee Fang: "The extensive list of those with funding from the pharmaceutical giant includes consumer, doctor, and medical groups, as well as public health organizations and civil rights nonprofits. Many of those groups did not disclose the funding they received from Pfizer while they were advocating for policies that would force workers to get the vaccine."
Well, that's just super.
But I genuinely look forward to seeing people I haven't seen in years because they couldn't get into my country.
Another happy note: we had my most recent supporters' party this past Saturday. I started these in October 2020 because I was tired of the dystopia and wanted people to have a normal social engagement. So I opened my home to normal people all over the U.S.
Saturday's party was a great time and brought together lots of great folks and helped spark many new friendships. The 80 folks who were there enjoyed a talk from Jeff Deist, great food and drink, and lots of normal human interaction.
